Next Year

I am fascinated by the self-luminous gaseous spheroidal celestial bodies which are known as stars.

I am star struck

Ring it in~
My wish upon a star for this new year is for a safe, healthy & happy new year for all my friends and family.

Pantone Guru's say...........

Pantone says........ "Provocative Tangerine Tango, an enticing juicy orange, is a vivacious and appealing refresher to enliven anyone’s outlook this spring."

I say.......... I have adored orange since I first chose an earthy-orangie clay color for walls in one my earliest design projects years ago.
I also chose a Schumacher print that would have looked fabulous on this bed with tangerine tango walls! The print below is timeless and would feel fresh against these modern tangerine walls. Focus on that vase on the table and you will get the idea. This feels so romantic!
my vintage Schumacher chintz
 great texture, love the detail

I am on the hunt for some towels for the master bath. So far the Pantone influence has not been seen by me in the towel category. This is actually a very old picture I had saved.
Perhaps SANTA will bring some for me on Christmas day.

Mega Greige, Anjou Pear a la LAZY BOY

John and Jane Colorless have not one but two homes. They were here in the desert southwest decorating their other home in Seattle.
this is what they brought me to work with

They like color and pattern and were unusual because they agreed.... On everything.
(Don't like brown walls) THE ZOE ROOM BY LAZYBOY

I think they were so in sync because they were here in the desert, selecting color for Seattle, thousands of miles away from the Emerald City. You see desert air and warm sun can lull you into a vacation coma so bad that everything sounds good. For paint we arrived at a mega greige for the flow color, and anjou pear as an accent.

I also suggested that they paint their current fireplace black and repeat the gold and black in art, vases, throws and pillows.

This k-mart pillow is where you get the low in high-low decorating! Wouldn't it go great on the sofa.

love the chevron here
comfy knitted poof here
John and Jane Colorless left the color studio with griege and pear color-thoughts swimming in their heads. It was a happy color story ending.
