TOOK THE LONG WAY HOME

The joy of taking the long way home is when you feel glad you finally made it and you are happy with the experience along the journey. I have done this

PASO VERDE

Most paths are piled high with difficulty, and we must find within ourselves the ability to rise to the occasion to carry on.  We must think anew and act anew with these many obstacles. I have done this

HAND IN SLING

The human spirit needs to accomplish, achieve and triumph to be content. Confucius said "Wherever you go, go with all your heart." This is what I have done.

TREASURED BEVERLY BLVD

I took a long journey and finally made it to my destination, the one I wanted so long ago. Graduation is a time of completion, of finishing, of an ending; however, it is also a time of celebration of achievement and a beginning. As I reflect upon my achievement I wonder how I could have done it. I am sure I will think of many things but the most important are the people who had a helping hand along the way.

The first one I shall note is a woman of great inspiration to me. She is the one who whacked my imagination and it was as if a seed was planted and a little sprout started to grow. Thank you Tracy, because of you I adopted an attitude and plan and I didn’t look back until I hit an obstacle.
It was a major life threatening obstacle that delayed my journey for a year and a half or in student time- three semesters. As I mentioned I had to think anew and act anew and I did.

The ones who helped me through this obstacle and along the rest of the journey were my darling family. Thank you to each and every one of you. You were at many times without me. I missed band concerts, literary nights, science fairs and more. I missed time spent with a supportive husband who always gave me the space and time I needed to get intensive project work done. My family are the ones who made my journey possible. I seriously could have met defeat without them. They gave a lot and now I am theirs, degree and all!

I have always been a purposeful person who has endless lists & goals. Today I meet my goal~ an AAS in Interior Design. I will walk on the field, receive my diploma and declare this my ultimate D.I.Y!
