A Kilim Feels Like Fall

Kilim
a word of Turkish origin that denotes a pile-less textile. Kilims are produced in several geographical areas that includes parts of Turkey (Anatolia and Thrace), India, North Africa, the Balkans, the Caucasus, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central Asia and China . Kilims are produced by tightly interweaving the warp and weft strands of the weave to produce a flat surface with no pile.

I have coveted Kilim rugs for quite a long time

Just so beautiful

so Ralph Lauren

this may be the iconic IKEA flat weave

this one is monochromatic and feels moody- a little unusual colorway, love it!
!
for me, the more graphic the better!

isn't this mid-century shape so cool covered in kilim, a great color palette can be gleaned from this chair

just a touch here or there to add interest

great in the living area
so great in the kitchen, right?
here the graphic design adds so much to a rather plain room, I spy a missing door handle and a equipale stool as a night stand.
