Southwestern Decor Inspiration

Went to a friends new home, it was so personal

She adores her southwestern style and has collected everything over many   years and much travel

Her collection of Navajo rugs is enviable

colorful pillows collected in Las Cruces, New Mexico
more pillows and rugs as runners & toppers
handmade box with carving and more  patterned baskets

wish this was a close up, the owner made this art, very colorful & personal

great color and scalloped detail which echos the scallop in the fireplace wall. slate tile is a great neutral foil for all the owners colorful possesions

metal clock in  beautiful copper & metal, check out the ceiling detail, echos the cabinets which are throughout the home

view of interior Santa fe style pine pole and art from a favorite artist

close up the carved wood crosses, more art, beer pots with the one on the right being over 100 years old, and the words Harmony describe the feeling of this home perfectly

This home gives the guest a soothing tranquil experince upon crossing the threshold. I immediately felt like I was somewhere special. There is so much attention to detail and it  heightens the visual appeal of all the elements. The best part is that it is a personal, traveled story of  a meaningful  life. I truly enjoyed it. The girl time together wasn't bad either! Thanks Sue.

More Spring

Can't get enough Spring...................

 semi historic district-poppy pretty!

moody tree & pretty pergola

something I don't have in my stepford neighborhood....moody trees

Quintessential Phoenix 50's ranch including desert landscape

Typical Spring color here in the desert, looks more lively in person

This has potential...... I want to rescue and redo. I would design a central courtyard to complement the current architecture and design The old palm would most likely have to go. Needs some color and a beautiful front door. The lavender on the left is a good start to becoming something great! What does spring look like in your neighborhood ?
